If versions of Mac OS X are not listed on this article, the version is not officially tested and is therefore not officially supported. The versions of Symantec Encryption Desktop and versions of Mac OS X contained in this article have been officially tested and certified. For example, SEE 11.1.2 supports Mac OS X 10.12, so this can be used to install on Mac OS X 10.12.5. It is not necessary to wait for a newer version of SEE 11.1.2 to use on a newer version of Mac OS X 10.12 as long as the version supports the base release of Mac OS X.
